The Bowl that is Super

Posted By: The ROO // January 29, 2012

As you may or may not know, the name of the biggest pro football game of the year is copyrighted, and we’re not supposed to use it to promote our own goods and services. Which is understandable. It’s the property of the NFL and they’re protecting it. One might argue that they could benefit from other companies hyping up the big game, but it probably has enough hype already. I mean, it costs a cool $3 million to run a commercial during the game. The Roo does not have that kind of scratch. And if I did, I’d probably use it for something else, like a yacht that hosts parties for all my Facebook fans. Or maybe another trip into outer space.

And although 3 mil is ridiculous, it would be fun to run an ad during the big game. The Roo and football go together like beer and football. So while you may not see The Roo doing some crazy stuff on screen during the game, just know that I’m watching along with you. Cold beverage in hand, and one on deck in the pouch. Here’s to football. We will miss you.
